At the suggestion of a buyer I will add a line of cards with text suitable for different occasions. Today's three cards read; May the road rise up to meet you, A good match and Travel well. If you have suggestions for a caption or a particular image just call or email. You can also have these images without text.

New Leura & Carrington Images

Its the Leura Village Fair on the weekend. Unfortunately I won't be there but if you wander into Zuri or Megalong Books you can find some of my cards. I have over 100 images so take a look at my Photo Gallery by clicking on the business card link to the right. Just call if you would like me to visit you with the cards or email any queries and please, pass this info onto others who may be interested.

Thanks to Vanessa at Zuri Homewares for motivating me to find 100% recycled card & envelopes. There is now a choice when ordering.
The business is growing and you can now buy Betty Joyce Art Cards at Potts Point Bookstore, Megalong Books & Zuri Homewares in Leura & Katoomba. Gleebooks will also be stocking the cards from mid October. I welcome suggestions of stores where you would like to shop for Betty Joyce Art Cards as I can visit them with my full line as although the online images are a good visual the cards look much better in the "flesh".
You can still buy online by choosing the images from the library (click on the business card link) and then email me with your details. I can make special orders (especially for Christmas) where you may want multiples of your own image - such as a picture of staff or the business surrounds (digitally collaged of course). The original art photograph is placed on a card. Each card is approx 6.5 x 15cm and is blank inside. Both the card and envelope are made from high quality pearlised (slight sheen) card stock. The original photograph is hand cut to fit the card then a suitable border added as well as date and initials. The back is hand written with business name, image subject name in the centre and details are written at the bottom. Both card and envelope are sealed in a clear cello bag (price and order number are displayed on a white removeable sticker).

Still Life with Bottles (44)

Hi everyone,

I'll be posting a variety of images that are my original photographs, digitally collaged in an art program named Photoshop. I print these images and place them on quality card stock to produce mini artworks on blank cards. They are hand-labelled on the back with the title and order number in brackets and then, along with a matching envelope are placed into transparent cello bags and sealed. Each card (15 x 10.5 cm) can be purchased for just $5.00 when ordering via this blog - just email me with the details of your order and any queries that you may have.

The subject matter is taken mainly from my local area, the Blue Mountains just outside Sydney, Australia but many other places, people and images are featured. Still Life with Bottles (44) is one of five in a still life series. I took these outside an artist's studio in Katoomba and enjoyed the play of light on bottles and glasses.

Rooftops over Katoomba (24)


This is one in another series looking over the rooftops of Katoomba to the Blue Mountains in the distance. It features the weatherboard homes and chimneys which are common to many mountain dwellings. I have enhanced the colour and light and simplified the shapes.

I like to photograph people as well . . . below (number 40) is a friend dreaming of what could be whilst checking out the multitude of activities available at Walsh Bay in Sydney. The Writer's Festival was held there this year.
